Real estate can be risky, rewarding, and usually a little of both. Our local team has been through the full spectrum over the past decade — from failed flips and frozen pipes to foundations crumbling beneath us. We’ve lost money. We’ve lost sleep. And we’ve learned more than we ever bargained for.
It’s not all bad. There have been genuine wins along the way — properties transformed, families housed, neighborhoods improved. The lessons that came from the hard times made those wins possible. And all of it brought us to where we are today: actively looking for motivated sellers of single-family homes across Chittenden and Franklin County.
So what exactly is a “motivated seller”?
Let’s clear something up right away — because the term gets misunderstood, and frankly, misrepresented by bad actors in this industry.
This is not someone we prey on. These are people from our community who simply need a fresh start.
A motivated seller isn’t someone we manipulate into a corner. They’re a neighbor, a friend-of-a-friend, maybe a family member who’s found themselves in a situation where the price tag on their property matters far less than the simplicity and speed of moving on. They want the ability to leave a house in any condition, without the months of showings, negotiations and staging — and just walk away to the next chapter.
Life creates these situations constantly. A divorce. A death in the family. A job change that demands relocation. A home that’s become too expensive or too overwhelming to maintain. These are real people, dealing with real circumstances, who need a real solution, not a predatory deal.
Who We Work With

The work we take on is the kind most people wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole. Structurally compromised buildings. Homes that have been sitting vacant for years. Properties that feel hopeless on the surface but have the bones to become something great.

What was once an uninhabitable property is being transformed into a safe, clean, comfortable home — the kind of place a new family can be proud of. That’s the work we do. That’s what motivates us.
